Fingerlakesdailynews is looking for a skilled WordPress Developer to build and maintain WordPress websites. This role involves customizing themes, ensuring website performance, and resolving issues.

The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, with at least 5 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in web development or a related field. A flexible schedule and experience with SEO and WooCommerce are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing with WordPress.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.
• Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, etc.).
• Experience with MySQL and WordPress databases.
• Understanding of website security and performance optimization.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience with WooCommerce and version control (Git).
• Flexible schedule, able to work in Eastern time zone.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
• Customize themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
• Build responsive, mobile-friendly layouts.
• Ensure website performance, security, and scalability.
• Optimize websites for SEO and page speed.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve WordPress issues.
• Perform updates, backups, and ongoing maintenance.
