Job summary

Brownstone Door Co., a Brooklyn-based architectural millwork company, is seeking a mechanically inclined woodworker/fabricator with 2-5 years of relevant woodworking experience to join our small workshop.

This isn't a trainee role; we want someone already competent and skilled in the woodworking craft. Read technical shop drawings, follow fabrication processes, and work safely with machinery.

Qualifications

• Hands-on woodworking, fabrication or other relevant technical experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and spatial reasoning
• Comfortable with woodworking machinery and hand tools
• Ability to read and work from technical shop drawings
• Careful, detail-oriented and focused work ethic
• Good communication within a small team

• Fabricate and assemble high-quality architectural doors and millwork
• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely
• Follow established fabrication processes and shop drawings

Brownstone Door Co

A specialty architectural millwork shop in Brooklyn is looking for a mechanically inclined woodworker/fabricator to join our small workshop team with 2-5 years of relevant woodworking experience.

We're looking for someone with an eye for detail and who is just the right kind of fussy about the quality of their work.

This isn't a trainee role! We are looking for someone already competent and skilled in the woodworking craft.

You’ll Need To

• Have hands-on woodworking, fabrication, or other relevant technical experience


• Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and spatial reasoning


• Be comfortable working with woodworking machinery and hand tools


• Read and work accurately from technical shop drawings


• Follow established fabrication processes consistently


• Pay close attention when learning new processes and retain and apply what you have been taught


• Work safely, efficiently, and with focus


• Communicate clearly and work well within a small team

What We Offer

4-day workweek, Mon-Thu, 8am-6pm (After a Part-Time,12pm-6pm, M-Th, 30 day paid trial period)

Pay: $30 - $35/hr. Pay rate is based on your production capabilities relevant to our work and the training investment required for you to be able to produce on your own.
