Woodwind - Music Teacher - Private/Semi-Private Instruction

Bach To Rock (“B2R”), America’s Music School for students of all ages, is seeking a Woodwind Music Teacher to work as a part-time employee providing music and performance lessons to students.

Music Teachers at Bach to Rock use the B2R curriculum to provide students with an inspiring and well-balanced music education. By teaching theory and technique using music that students know and love, B2R teachers help develop musicians who enjoy performing, recording in our studio, and composing original music.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Teach private and semi-private lessons using Bach to Rock curriculum and cover song arrangements.
2. Create an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson atmosphere.
3. Assess a student’s readiness to join a band or ensemble.
4. Assist at school events.
5. May repair equipment as needed and able.

Requirements:

1. Demonstrate an understanding of music concepts and communicate those effectively to students.
2. Have an advanced understanding of music theory and technique relevant to the primary instrument.
3. Possess effective time management and organizational skills to keep students on task.
4. Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with various personalities.
5. Be an experienced performer (solo or group).
6. Have experience working with youth and/or beginning musicians.
7. Be able to interact effectively with children and adults.
8. Pass a background check.

We offer an hourly rate based on education, experience, expertise, and availability.
