Job summary

Music & Arts in New York seeks a Music Teacher to foster a supportive, engaging learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels. You will teach music lessons, build relationships with students and parents, and coordinate with store teams to schedule lessons and boost retention.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Music Education and 2+ years of teaching, with woodwind focus; advanced degrees or multiple instruments are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of music teaching experience, especially with woodwind instruments.
• Advanced degrees (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music are a plus.
• 8+ years of teaching experience across multiple instruments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels.
• Build positive relationships with students and parents through regular communication, goal-setting, and progress updates.
• Partner with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention.
• Share musical expertise to inspire growth in students.
