Qualifications

Duties

• Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide woodworking projects accurately.
• Operate hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines safely and efficiently.
• Cut, shape, assemble, and install wood components for framing, siding, trim, drywall, flooring, and fixtures.
• Assist with construction estimating by measuring materials and preparing accurate material lists.
• Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for remodeling, restoration, or new construction projects.
• Ensure power tool safety protocols are followed at all times to maintain a safe work environment.
• Support the installation of rebar, stucco, plastering, caulking, mold remediation, and other related tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction or carpentry with a focus on woodworking or residential projects.
• Skilled in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings for precise execution.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines.
• Knowledge of wood construction materials including framing lumber, siding materials, drywall components, and flooring options.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on construction sites.
• Familiarity with construction site safety standards including power tool safety practices.
• Experience in remodeling, restoration industry work, or handyman roles is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of metal stud framing, fixture installation, drywall finishing, caulking techniques, and rebar installation.
