Job summary

Cambium Carbon is seeking a Shop Hand for our East Coast manufacturing facility in Columbia, MD. You’ll be hands-on across every step of the production process, operating woodshop tools and millwork equipment with a strong emphasis on safety, speed, and consistency to deliver high‑quality, Carbon Smart Wood products.

You will assist the Sr Shop Manager, fulfill orders, load and unload materials, and help with packaging and shipping while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Power tools and woodshop machinery familiarity.
• Safety-conscious approach in a factory/woodshop setting.
• Meticulous attention to detail in production tasks.
• Collaborative team player who communicates effectively.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Sr Shop Manager in fulfilling orders and keeping the shop organized and running smoothly.
• Operate shop equipment to process raw boards into finished products, including cutting, planing, sanding, and assembly.
• Load and unload materials, move inventory, and stage materials for production.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following shop protocols and daily cleanup routines.
• Support packaging, labeling, and shipping of finished goods as needed.
