Job summary

Associated Materials Innovations LLC is seeking a Wood Shop Technician to build and repair wooden crates, pallets, frames, and protective structures for shipping finished windows. You will measure, cut, and assemble materials following precise product specs and stay aligned with Shipping and Production timelines.

Candidate should read drawings, select appropriate materials, and operate woodworking tools safely.

Qualifications

• Basic woodworking or carpentry skills and ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
• Good hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of safe material handling and lifting practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Dependable with reliable attendance.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble wooden crates, pallets, frames, and protective structures for shipping windows.
• Measure, cut, and assemble wood materials according to product dimensions and shipping specifications.
• Read basic drawings, measurements, and work instructions.
• Select appropriate materials and fasteners while minimizing waste.
• Safely operate saws, drills, nail guns, staple guns, and other woodworking tools.
• Construct custom crates and supports for oversized or specialty windows.
• Inspect, repair, and modify wooden structures to ensure quality and product protection.
• Coordinate with Shipping and Production to meet shipping schedules.
• Report material shortages, equipment issues, and safety concerns to leadership.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
