Job summary

Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas seeks a Wood Shop Supervisor to oversee daily shop operations, provide hands-on leadership, and mentor students in Christ-centered workmanship.

You will teach quality craftsmanship, emphasize equipment safety, and help produce wood products for the organization and the public, while planning production, training students, and managing materials.

Qualifications

• Strong woodworking knowledge and hands-on experience.
• Minimum of two years of relevant leadership experience.
• Ability to lead, train, and mentor students in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and daily production goals.
• General knowledge of laser and CNC equipment, or willingness to complete training.
• OSHA training and First Aid/CPR training are preferred.
• Understanding of addiction and recovery and alignment with the mission.

Job Description

The Wood Shop Supervisor oversees daily wood shop operations while providing hands-on leadership, training, and Christ-centered mentorship to students. This position teaches quality craftsmanship, work ethic, equipment safety, and character while helping produce wood products for Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas and the public.

Responsibilities include planning daily production, training students on woodworking equipment and processes, maintaining equipment and safety standards, managing materials and shop expenses, conducting weekly safety training, and supporting the spiritual and personal development of students.
