Job summary

Sonoco Richmond, KY is seeking a Site Supervisor to lead daily wood and plywood reel operations, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time customer delivery. You will supervise a frontline team, manage workflow, and maintain accurate production records.

This role partners with maintenance, quality, logistics and leadership to resolve issues, improve efficiency, and sustain reliable service. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years in manufacturing with supervisory experience and a proven commitment to

Qualifications

• Three to five years in production or manufacturing with at least two years in supervision.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety standards and quality controls.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for wood and plywood reel assembly and reel recycling, ensuring production, quality, safety, and customer-delivery requirements are met.
• Monitor workflow, staffing, schedules, productivity, downtime, and key operating metrics; adjust priorities as needed.
• Maintain accurate production records to support reporting, analysis and continuous improvement.
• Partner with maintenance, quality, logistics, and leadership to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
• Provide responsive customer service through daily communication and coordination with customers.
• Lead or participate in daily KANBAN counts and manage demand, inventory, and service issues.
