Job summary

Marathon Staffing is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our wood processing team in Chester County, Kennett Square, United States. This position involves moving heavy loads of raw lumber and finished wood products while prioritizing safety and efficiency in a fast-paced, industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience operating sit-down industrial forklifts.
• Experience with large-capacity or outdoor forklifts is a major plus.
• Ability to sit for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, stack, and move raw logs and finished wood products.
• Feed raw materials to processing machines and clear finished products.
• Load and unload trailers according to shipping manifests.
• Organize yard inventory, ensuring bundles are stacked and labeled correctly.
• Perform daily pre-shift forklift inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Adhere to all OSHA regulations and plant safety rules.
