Job summary

Dixie Plywood & Lumber Co. of Dallas - Garland, TX is seeking a full-time warehouse associate to receive, store and load building material for distribution to customers. The role requires safe operation of a forklift and chainsaw, reading orders, counting, and physically moving materials as needed.

You will identify products, follow written documents, and maintain a clean, orderly warehouse while upholding good relations with customers who pick up material.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate a forklift.
• Ability to safely use a chainsaw.
• Ability to read customer orders, shipping orders, purchase orders and/or bills of lading to determine items to move/gather/distribute.
• Ability to count and perform simple arithmetic.
• Ability to physically move material by forklift or by hand to unload incoming materials and load outgoing deliveries.
• Ability to identify products and accurately handle items on written company documents.
• Maintain clean and orderly warehouse and good relations with customers.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store and load building material for distribution to customers.
• Handle loading/unloading from railcars or trucks and prepare items for delivery.
• Identify products and ensure correct items are moved per orders.
• Maintain accuracy by reading orders and shipping documents.
