J. Alexander's Restaurant in Lexington, KY is seeking a Grill Cook to join our open-kitchen team. This role focuses on maintaining grill temperatures, coordinating with expo and management, and delivering wood-fired dishes with precision.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age to operate kitchen equipment.
• 1 yr. previous kitchen / culinary / chef experience on a wood-burning grill is preferred, but not required.
• Experience and knowledge of kitchen equipment including but not limited to knives, slicer, mixer, stoves, and ovens required.
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grill temperature throughout the shift and work with an open-kitchen layout.
• Coordinate with assembler, expo and management to manage orders and station workflow.
• Ensure proper food temperatures and follow company specifications.
• Keep station clean and follow sanitation protocols.
• Handle opening and closing duties.
