Job summary

Cornell University is seeking an Assistant Coach I for Women’s Sailing to assist the Director in planning and operating the program. You will help with team practice, competition participation, and input on player evaluation while supporting recruitment efforts for student-athletes in line with Ivy League, NCAA, and University policies.

The role includes travel, regatta management, budgeting, and scheduling responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of coaching/playing experience or an equivalent combination.
• Proven success in coaching, recruiting, and working with student athletes.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning and operation of the Women’s Sailing program.
• Support team practice and competitions.
• Provide input on player evaluation and team decisions.
• Active participation in scouting opponents and breakdowns of performances.
• Assist with on- and off-campus recruiting, travel, budgeting, and scheduling.
