Who We Are

Elliot Hospitals Women's and Children's Services are dedicated to addressing the specific health and wellness needs of women and their children. Options for Labor and Delivery include nitrous oxide, epidural anesthesia, surgical safety compliant with World Health Organization guidelines for cesarean births, and more. On average, there are 150-180 deliveries per month, 10 beds with 2 ORs, and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3.

About The Job

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery participates in high and low risk intrapartum and antepartum care, as well as receives women in transfer for high-risk pregnancy complications.

What You'll Do
  1. Embrace and promote change to support optimal patient outcomes and an effective professional practice environment.
  2. Involve patients and families in goal setting and care planning, communicate plans for input, and ensure seamless care across shifts and settings.
  3. Utilize current evidence and relevant standards to guide practice and identify areas for improvement.
  4. Demonstrate competent clinical practice with decision making and critical thinking skills.
Who You Are
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN preferred).
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New Hampshire, a multistate, or a compact state.
  • Ability to obtain BLS certification during orientation and maintain it; ACLS preferred.
