GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner practices under the clinical supervision of the Medical Director of the Clinic, Administrative Supervisor, or Practice Supervisor. They demonstrate competency and efficiency in caring for OBGYN patients. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating OBGYN patients according to delineation of privileges. The role requires strong organizational and prioritization skills, selecting and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic tests, communicating medical assessments and plans to patients and attending physicians, completing timely medical record documentation, and managing outpatient clinic visits. The primary focus will be outpatient clinic activities, including hospital discharges, admissions, non-invasive testing, and daily collaboration with the OBGYN team.
