Job summary

The WHNP will diagnose and treat gynecological and reproductive health issues, provide pregnancy care, contraception counseling, menopause management, and health education. Maryland CRNP licensure with prescriptive authority is required or eligible.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing with specialization in Women’s Health.
• Maryland CRNP licensure and prescriptive authority eligibility.
• Board certification as Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or equivalent.
• 1 year of ambulatory care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain detailed health histories and perform physical examinations.
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develop differential diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and therapies as allowed.
• Provide counseling, education, and anticipatory guidance.
• Maintain accurate patient records and follow-up on treatment results.
• Coordinate referrals and specialty consultations as needed.
• Provide contraceptive care and STD screening and management.
• Deliver prenatal and postnatal care and maternal health education.
