Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking experienced Certified Nurse Midwives for its Women’s Health team at Piedmont OBGYN in South Charlotte Ballantyne. The hospitalist role includes flexible day/night rotations and on‑call duties with no outpatient requirements.

Candidates must be RN licensed and CNM certified in NC/SC, with BLS and NRP credentials. A strong benefits package and on‑call scheduling flexibility are offered.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN license and CNM certification in NC/SC.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• NRP certification is required or in process.
• Minimum 1 year CNM experience.

Responsibilities

• Hospitalist CNM/nocturnist CNM on call with rotating shifts.
• Flexible scheduling with day/night or nocturnist options.
• Hospital-based role with no outpatient/office duties.

• Established practice
• 14 Physicians and 12 Advanced Practice Providers
• 200 monthly deliveries at Atrium Health Pineville

Opportunity Highlights

Shift Details

• Flexibility for candidates interested in either a rotating day/night shifts or nocturnist schedule.
• Rotating shifts include 7a-7pm, 7p-7a, and 7a-7a.
• Nocturnist shifts include 3-4 nights per week 7p-7a (inclusive of weekends).

Minimum Qualifications

• License to practice as a Registered Nurse required.
• Certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and approved to practice as a Nurse Midwife in the state of NC/SC.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider from AHA required.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certified
• Minimum 1 year as a CNM
