Position Title: Head Coach, Women’s Basketball

Department: Athletics Division: Enrollment Mgmt. and Institutional Effectiveness

Number of hours per week for which this position is budgeted: 40

Number of months per year for which this position is budgeted: 10

Reports to: Director of Athletics

Grade: Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY: The Head Women’s Basketball Coach is responsible to the Director of Athletics. The position is full-time and offers benefits as specified in the handbook. The coach will be responsible for all aspects of establishing and maintaining a competitive women’s basketball program that upholds the mission and values of Hannibal-LaGrange University.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsibilities include coaching, recruiting, budgeting, scheduling, promotions, fundraising, mentoring, and other administrative duties assigned by the Athletic Director. The coach will also have a small teaching load.
• Must maintain proper certification to operate HLGU vehicles, including a commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Supervise the Head JV basketball coach and oversee as necessary.
• Act as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).
