Job summary

Lehigh University’s women’s basketball program seeks an Assistant Coach to join a Division I team focused on competitive excellence and the holistic development of student-athletes. Reporting to the Head Coach, you will contribute across practice, game prep, and recruiting.

You bring NCAA certification, CPR/First Aid, and a track record of recruiting success; a Bachelor’s degree is required with a Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
• Experience as a student athlete is preferred.
• NCAA Certification required.
• CPR/First Aid required.
• Prior coaching experience at the collegiate level (NCAA Division I) preferred.
• Demonstrated recruiting success at the college level.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting practices and game prep with position-specific instruction.
• Monitor progress and contribute to development plans for student-athletes.
• Support all phases of recruiting: identification, evaluation, and communication with prospects and families.
• Coordinate campus visits and onboarding to foster a welcoming team culture.
• Assist with program operations: travel, scheduling, and equipment management.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA, Patriot League, and Lehigh policies; maintain records.
• Mentor athletes and collaborate with academic services to support graduation goals.
• Represent the program in fundraising, alumni engagement, and community outreach.
• Coordinate and support youth camps and clinics to raise program visibility.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to departmental strategies.
