Job summary

Rosa Rossa in Orchard is seeking a Chinese Cuisine Chef to join our casual restaurant team. You will prepare and cook casual Chinese dishes, with hands-on wok experience, following standard kitchen procedures and food safety guidelines.

The role is full-time, on-site in Orchard, with a choice of 5/5.5/6-day weeks and salary SGD 3,000–4,500 per month based on experience. Training and career progression are provided in a friendly, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional kitchen experience.
• Hands-on experience in Chinese wok cooking and able to handle a wok independently.
• Experience in Chinese cuisine or casual Chinese restaurants preferred.
• Good knife skills and understanding of kitchen operations.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Willing to work weekends and public holidays.
• Food hygiene certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook casual Chinese dishes
• Handle wok cooking independently
• Prepare wok-fried and deep-fried dishes
• Handle daily mise en place and ingredient preparation
• Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation and portioning
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen
• Assist with stock preparation, storage and inventory
• Follow food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures
• Work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen team members
