Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for managing the station's workflow and ensuring timely meal delivery by overseeing the cooking process from start to finish, including determining time requirements for each step. Ensures quality and consistency of all menu items and demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of all kitchen areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Anticipate and meet guest needs.
• Handle allergy and dietary restrictions/modifications.
• Prepare all foods, hot and cold, across all kitchen sections.
• Follow POS orders and expeditor instructions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards at the station.
• Follow supervisor instructions, support team members, and promote teamwork.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of recipes and execute to company standards.
• Maintain general venue knowledge.
• Comply with health and sanitation standards.
• Communicate product needs to the team.
• Check cover counts, BEOs, and Fire Sheets as required.
• Properly set up station and perform opening/closing procedures, including stock management, mise en place, sanitation, and side-work.
• Report equipment or furniture damage immediately.
• Participate in pre-service meetings and training sessions.
• Lead by example, share knowledge, and maintain a positive attitude.
• Understand Tao Group Hospitality and its partners.
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned.

Training & Experience:

In-venue line cook training required. Previous culinary experience and high-volume line cook experience preferred.

Skills & Physical Demands:

• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to move quickly, push, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Work in noisy, crowded, hot, or smoky environments.

Work Environment & Schedule:

Includes office, casino, nightclub, bar, lounge, or restaurant settings. May require extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
