Job summary

AutomationDirect is seeking a WMS Administrator to own and optimize warehouse management systems across Forsyth County facilities. You will forecast issues, build expertise, and collaborate with IT, operations, and vendors to ensure reliable WMS/WCS performance and value delivery.

This on-site role demands strong leadership, problem solving, and proactive system improvement initiatives. You will manage incidents, monitoring, testing, training, and product enhancements, while guiding teams

Qualifications

• 3+ years supporting enterprise applications with direct responsibility for system health, troubleshooting, and vendor coordination.
• Proficiency administering Windows-based and/or cloud-hosted business applications.
• Proficiency with SQL query development and data analysis.
• Working competency with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall project delivery methodologies.
• Experience in ecommerce, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex application issues independently, analyze root causes, and architect solutions.
• Demonstrated proactive approach to anticipate issues and act without direction.
• Experience in business requirements elicitation and business analysis.
• Experience utilizing AI-assisted tools for operational support, automation, or testing.

Responsibilities

• Own all support and operational issues for distribution center facilities and warehouse systems, driving to resolution and root cause.
• Build and continuously improve monitoring, alerting, and system-health metrics for WMS/WCS.
• Partner with SaaS vendors and IT operations to ensure application and system performance.
• Engage operations to analyze requests and craft solutions for system improvements.
• Lead technical coordination and execution on small to mid-sized projects, including meetings.
• Design, execute, and report on testing for improvements, releases, and bug fixes.
• Build and deliver training plans and documentation for system improvements.
• Deploy software updates and enhancements.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures and knowledge base.
• Mentor and train staff on best support practices.
• Duties otherwise assigned.
