Job summary

WILBERT INC, part of Marmon Holdings and backed by Berkshire Hathaway, is looking for a Customer Service Representative to act as a liaison between customers and the company. You’ll schedule orders, handle inquiries, and maintain a positive rapport while presenting the organization in the best light.

This role requires strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in customer service or related field preferred.
• Experience in the plastics industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule orders, including resolving purchase order discrepancies and communicating changes.
• Implement changes to sales orders.
• Maintain daily backlog metrics based on customer orders
• Communicate and escalate any potential impact to the customer
• Review ECNs on orders in process and notify the customer.
• Review product returns for quality assurance and create a replacement order if necessary.
• Communicate with the customer during order placement and acceptance.
• Observe safety rules and maintain a neat work area

Responsible for acting as a liaison between customers and the company. Assists with complaints, orders, errors, account questions, billing, cancellations, and other queries. Throughout all these interactions, Customer Service Representatives must maintain a high level of professionalism, establish a positive rapport with each individual and present the organization in the best light possible.

Role and Responsibilities

• Schedule orders, including resolving purchase order discrepancies and communicating changes.
• Implement changes to sales orders.
• Maintain daily backlog metrics based on customer orders
• Communicate and escalation any potential impact to the customer
• Review engineering change notices (ECNs) on orders in process and notify the customer.
• Review product returns for quality assurance, communicate with the customer, and create a replacement order, if necessary.
• Communicate with the customer during the placement and acceptance of the order.
• Attend Plant Intelligence meetings as required.
• Ensure adherence to WPS Operational Excellence Manual and all associated policies and processes
• Observe all established safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in customer service or related field preferred
• Experience in the plastics industry preferred
• All required WilbertU Courses based on job title

Preferred Skills

• Strong written communication skills including ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Strong verbal communication skills including speaking before groups of customers or employees
• Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening skills
• Proven customer support experience and ability to remain professional and courteous with customers at all times
• Above average proficiency in office systems software – word processing, spreadsheets, database
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume using basic algebra and geometry.
• Proficient data mining capabilities
• Ability to read and interpret documents and instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule format.
• Strong problem-solving skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
• Ability to work independently or within a group setting

Pay Range

Pay Range: 56,000.00 - 84,000.00
