Job summary

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all client activity and in-house work assignments of women in the Recovery Program during weekend hours.
• Ensure safety and security of RRMM building complex housing the Recovery Program.
• Monitor in-house work assignments and performance of clients; assist in transporting clients to appointments.
• Conduct random drug screening of Recovery Program clients; supervise resident visiting hours.
• Document Recovery Program activities; write resident observations; perform other duties as assigned.
• Support spiritual development and gospel-focused activities within staff, guests, and residents.

Rockford Rescue Mission considers every position one of ministry and a vital part of our team. Additionally, staff must be willing to lead and/or participate in Bible study, prayer, devotions, chapel and sharing the Gospel.

Mission Statement: Rockford Rescue Mission shares hope and help in Jesus' name to move people from homelessness and despair toward personal and spiritual wholeness.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

To be responsible for supervising and coordinating all client activity and in-house work assignments of the women participating in the Recovery Program during the weekend hours. To ensure the safety and security of the RRMM building complex housing the Recovery Program.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Requires sitting 50% of the time. Occasional travel to various locations.

A. INVOLVEMENT WITH WOMEN'S LIFE RECOVERY PROGRAM

1. Monitor in-house work assignments and performance of clients.
2. Assist in the transportation of Recovery Program clients with medical, mental health, employment and other necessary outside appointments and Saturday shopping trips.
3. Supervise Sunday operations. Be available to those staying in-house due to illness on Sunday mornings.
4. Conduct random and as indicated drug screening with Recovery Program clients.
5. Supervise resident visitor hours.
6. Monitor medicines needed by residents during weekend shift.
7. Transport residents as needed.
8. Other duties as assigned.

B. CLERICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Document all Recovery Program activities and file appropriately (i.e., daily log book, incident reports, client and guest files, etc.).
2. Write resident observations.
3. Assist in other areas of ministry as needed or perform duties as assigned.

C. PHYSICAL FACTORS

1. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
2. Standing for extended periods of time.
3. Reaching and bending.

D. SPIRITUAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Take every opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others.
2. Provide spiritual encouragement to staff, volunteers, guests, and residents.
3. Invest in the spiritual development of staff, guests, residents, and donors.
4. Pray for and with staff, volunteers, guests, residents, and donors.
5. Ensure actions and policies reflect the Christian values and purpose of the Mission.
6. Handle relational conflicts according to the Staff Covenant of Romans 12:18 and Matthew 18:15-19
7. Memorize monthly Scripture, Mission Statement, and Mission Core Values.
8. Participate in corporate prayer and Scripture reading, staff chapel services, and all spiritual gatherings.
9. Support and attend annual mandatory Evangelism In Service training to grow in knowledge of leading others to faith in Christ.
10. Participate in annual spiritual growth training through organization selected curriculum.

E. QUALIFICATIONS

2. Minimum requirement High School Diploma or GED.
3. Must be active in a local Christian church.
4. Must demonstrate compassion toward the poor, needy and homeless.
5. Must have strong leadership qualities and demonstrate character traits of integrity, trustworthiness, responsibility, etc.
6. Must display respect, gentleness and accountability when interacting with the Recovery Program clients.
7. Must engage in safe and healthy work practices, both on the premises and off-site facilities. Must take an active part ensuring the safety, health and well-being of all of our staff, volunteers, and Mission guests.
8. Must be teachable and function as a team player.
9. J03 license required within 90 days of hire.
