Position Summary :

As a Senior Graphic Designer, you will be an integral part of the team at Austin Ridge Bible Church, a growing, healthy, multi-site church based in Austin, Texas.

This role is for a creative individual with 6+ years of experience, who wants to use your artistic talents to build Kingdom, and takes pride in delivering work that exceeds expectations. The Senior Graphic Designer will be responsible for maintaining Ridge brand standards as you collaborate with the creative team on projects across all our campuses, supporting ministries, events, sermon series, and other environments to help people know, grow, and serve Jesus.

Position Requirements

Primary Duties & Responsibilities :

• Work with the Communications Director and creative team to bring new ideas and develop visual solutions that support ministry goals while accounting for all aspects of the user (attendee) experience
• Collaborate with the Communications Director and ministry teams to support design projects from start to finish, from leading meetings with ministries, to implementing feedback on design drafts, to final delivery of assets, while maintaining a set project schedule
• Create visual assets and support the design and development of digital and print collateral for all Ridge channels (campuses, website, email, social media, printed materials, etc.)
• Maintain the brand identity of Austin Ridge Bible Church, honoring our brand standards as our ministries and geographic reach grow
• Work alongside all creative team members and lead fellow designers to maintain cohesion between graphic design, video, photography, social media, web, and app design
• Produce clean design files that can be shared and updated seamlessly by anyone on the team
• Act as point of contact with print vendors when needed, maintaining positive relationships, packaging files according to the needs of each vendor, and ensuring quality control
• Build relationship with and manage volunteers to support the work of ministry through graphic design projects, fostering opportunities for other creatives to serve with our ministry
• Other ministry duties as assigned

Key Competencies & Qualifications :

• A heart to serve, advance the gospel, and equip saints for the work of ministry through visual design
• A detail-oriented and strategic thinker who takes initiative to lead design projects and ensure all team members understand their roles and responsibilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; able to interact with a variety of personalities and ask the right questions to align teams on goals, opportunities, and expectations for design projects
• Able to present and gracefully defend your work, clearly articulating how a design meets project goals, accepting constructive criticism when needed; able to productively collaborate with and critique teammates as needed
• Proven experience in design using Adobe Creative Suite, with a portfolio that reflects your ability to align with brand standards while thinking outside of the box to achieve project goals
• Solid understanding of production processes, costs, and paper / materials selection for printed collateral and special installations
• Motion graphics, illustration, photography, and / or web design experience are a plus
• A bachelor’s degree in graphic design or similar field and 6+ years of relevant experience preferred ?
• Mature, growing disciple with a consistent devotional life
• Agrees with the mission, values, and vision of Ridge leadership ?
• Cultural fit with Austin Ridge Bible Church, possessing a missional lifestyle and mindset
