Job summary

Luse Contracting Group in Wisconsin seeks a General Manager to lead our Milwaukee and Madison markets. You will own the Wisconsin operation's performance and drive growth, customer relationships, and quality across projects.

You will recruit and mentor teams, manage risk and costs, and ensure adherence to safety and company standards while pursuing continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical insulation, mechanical contracting, or related construction with meaningful leadership responsibility.
• Demonstrated success leading profitable construction operations with prior P&L management preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction economics, estimating, job cost controls, project forecasting, contract administration and risk.
• Proven ability to build and lead accountable teams, develop talent, and foster a positive, high-performance culture.
• Highly organized and process-oriented with commitment to compliance, documentation, continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead profitable growth of the Wisconsin business by developing lasting customer relationships, pursuing new opportunities, and building a strong backlog.
• Oversee estimating, bid strategy, and contract negotiations with disciplined pricing and risk assessment.
• Drive operational excellence across projects with rigorous planning, cost control, scheduling, and on-time delivery.
• Own the Wisconsin operation's P&L, maintain forecasts, control costs, and ensure profitability and cash flow.
• Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team and foster a culture built on trust, respect, and success.
• Champion continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies to strengthen efficiency and knowledge sharing.
