Job Description:

Who You’ll Work With

ControlTech Automation (CTA), an independent division of Barry-Wehmiller Design Group, Inc., specializes in control panel integration and fabrication for process, packaging, utility, and other industries. Based in St. Louis, CTA designs and builds control panels for systems integrators and production facilities across the United States, handling everything from individual equipment to entire plant systems, based on customer design packages.

Hours: 2nd Shift, 12PM-10:30PM

What You’ll Do

As a Control Panel Wireman, you will join a high-performance team emphasizing precision, efficiency, and accountability. Responsibilities include:

  • Assembling and wiring components accurately, efficiently, and according to quality standards
  • Measuring panels, assembling components, and adjusting parts for proper fit using hand and power tools
  • Drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking, and spot-facing bolt holes in parts
  • Attaching nameplates and marking parts with identifying information
  • Interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and work orders to determine requirements
  • Disassembling units for part replacement or shipping preparation
  • Maintaining a clean and safe workspace
  • Communicating equipment issues or process improvements to management
  • Rotating through workstations to adapt to workflow needs
  • Meeting or exceeding production goals
  • Servicing manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime
  • Ensuring compliance with UL standards and safety policies
  • Taking ownership of your work and contributing to team success
