Job summary

The Davis Companies Inc. is seeking a skilled Wiring Technician in Duluth, GA to assemble and wire control panels from the ground up. This contract-to-hire role requires reading schematics, wiring to exact specs, and maintaining accurate production records.

Shift is 1st, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Candidates should have at least 3 years of control panel wiring experience, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfort working with PPE and respirators on site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of control panel wiring experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds daily and manage PPE use.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to assemble products and wire per schematics.
• Record production and traceability data as required.
• Set up/changeover configurations and perform cycle counts.
• Inspect own work and assist others to reduce defects and enhance quality.
• Connect 1–3 gauge wires to PCB and perform grid simulator tests.

Wiring Technician - Contract To Hire

We are seeking skilled Control Panel wiring technicians who have manufactured and built from the ground up control panels.

Shift of the Wiring Technician:

1st Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM

Pay Rate of the Wiring Technician:

$21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities of the Wiring Technician:

• Operate equipment to assemble product
• Follow schematics to wire products
• Record accurate production and traceability information as required
• Complete equipment set-up/changeover configurations
• Complete cycle counts
• Participate in cross-training of processes as assigned
• Inspect own work and inspect work of others to ensure the reduction of defects and enhanced product quality
• Ability to connect 1 to 3 gauge wires to PCB
• Testing using a grid simulator

Qualifications of the Wiring Technician:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Control Panel wiring experience 3+ years
• Ability to do basic math.
• Ability to read, write, and understand the local language.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee.
• Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
• Must be able and willing to wear a respirator.
