Job summary

American Battery Solutions, Lake Orion, MI, is seeking a Wiring Design Release Engineer to design and validate battery pack internal electrical connectivity for ABS products.

You will lead harness topology, package components, optimize harness complexity, and collaborate with Systems Engineers and BMS hardware teams to meet internal and customer-specific requirements. A four-year wiring background in automotive and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years of wiring experience within the Automotive Industry.
• Experience designing & specifying wire harnesses, flexible printed circuits (FPC), and automotive low- and high-voltage connector systems.
• Understanding of design best practices for wire routings, fixations, shielding & grounding
• Understanding of common industry standards governing connector and wire harness design and manufacturing
• Ability to interface with connector, PDC, vehicle architecture, and systems engineers to manage all electrical aspects of the wiring design.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and oral communications.
• Decision Making & Analysis: Makes sound decisions based upon a mixture of data-driven analysis, expertise, experience, and judgment; collects relevant information, seeks input from others, and identifies connections and/or root causes of problems.

Job Summary
