Job summary

Prysmian in Rocky Mount, NC seeks a Wireway Associate to operate production areas producing sheet metal wireway parts per drawings and instructions.

You will set up machines, perform first piece inspections, and conduct quality checks while maintaining a clean, safe workspace. SAP will be used to enter production and monitor material availability, with standard safety practices observed throughout.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Responsible for the efficient operation of one or more assigned production areas to produce sheet metal wireway parts in accordance to customer drawings, internal sketches, or other forms of instruction.

Position Responsibilities

This description will cover most significant duties performed, but does not exclude other occasional work assignments not mentioned, the inclusion of which would be in conformity with the factor degrees assigned to this job. This job is designed to encompass a range of concurrent and relatively equal responsibilities.

Position Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time - which may be intermittent at times
  • Ability to use small hand tools/Pneumatic screw guns repetitively as needed to perform basic job functions.
  • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards within the department
Equipment Used

Forklift, PC Terminal, supply carts, band mikes, micrometers, various hand tools, and housekeeping equipment.
