Automation Personnel Services, Inc. seeks a Wireman Journeyman in Beaumont, TX. You will read schematics, integrate switchgear, control panels and cabinets, and connect wiring to breakers and relays while following TXLA quality standards.

The position pays $23.00-$32.00 per hour and runs Monday–Friday with potential overtime. This full-time, temporary role offers weekly pay, medical/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, and 401(k) matching.

Job description

Wireman Journeyman

Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Wireman Journeyman to join the daily operations of our customer in Beaumont, TX. The ideal candidate will integrate switchgears, control panels, and cabinets; connect wires to circuit breakers, relays, and transformers and maintaining a productive work environment. Additional projects and/or tasks may be assigned to meet operational needs.

Pay Rate: $23.00-$32.00 depending on experience

Schedule and Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:30pm Some overtime as required.

Wireman Journeyman Duties and Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets electrical schematics, wiring diagrams engineered for each respective project.
• Perform continuity, functional, and safety tests on assembled components to ensure proper operation.
• Install and maintain internal electrical wiring and components within the manufactured equipment.
• Adhere to all company, local, and national electrical codes to ensure safety and quality standards.

Wireman Journeyman Requirements and Qualifications

• Can read a tape measure to the nearest 1/16.
• Operate corded and cordless power tools and has extensive working knowledge of using specialty tools (ferrule crimpers, insulated lug crimpers, wire strippers, etc.).
• Already a highly skilled wireman who is self-directed and ensures projects are wired/integrated in accordance with engineered specifications and TXLA quality standards is a plus.
• CPR trained, attend ESWP training when available, attend NFPA 70E training when available, and are familiar with current National Electric Code.
• 3-5yrsexperience preferred.
• Able to lift 25-50lbs.(Test administered in office)
• Ability to work onfeetfor a minimum of 8 hours a day up to 12hrs a day.
