Job summary

Weatherford seeks a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to ensure wireline products meet oil & gas industry standards. You will perform inspections and testing of materials, components, and assemblies, contributing to Weatherford’s reputation for excellence in manufacturing.

You will conduct dimensional, visual, and NDT testing, document results, and uphold HSE policies. Strong attention to detail and ASNT Level 2 certification are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of oil & gas product inspection experience.
• Proficiency with standard measuring equipment and ability to interpret technical drawings.
• ASNT Level 2 certification in at least 2 NDE methods (LPT & MPT).
• Diploma or higher in Mechanical Eng or Industrial Trade preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process, final product, and receiving inspections by API standards (5CT, 7-1, and premium connections).
• Conduct dimensional, visual, non-destructive testing (NDT), and hardness testing on components.
• Verify conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments and gauges.
• Maintain calibration database and coordinate equipment calibration schedules.
• Review material test certificates and technical drawings for accuracy and current revisions.
• Document inspection results, prepare detailed reports, and manage NCR/CPAR processes.
• Identify quality issues and apply systematic problem-solving methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, quality management systems, and industry regulations.
• Communicate inspection findings effectively to supervisors and stakeholders.
