Job summary

KLX Energy Services LLC seeks a Wireline Operator for our Gillette, WY location to execute open-hole/cased-hole logging and completion services. You will rig up the truck, assist operations at the wellsite, and operate the wireline truck and equipment with attention to safety and records.

Responsibilities include trucking, rigging, equipment maintenance, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Suitable candidates will have a CDL with Hazmat, ATF clearance, and strong safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to communicate with personnel and customers.
• Must obtain a Class A CDL with Hazmat Endorsement.
• Must obtain an ATF clearance.
• Ability to read and understand safety labels and postings.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assembles/disassembles wireline and pressure control equipment per OEM standards.
• Monitors and adjusts processes to maximize quality and efficiency with safety in mind.
• Performs shipping/loading/unloading following FMCSA regulations and documents equipment identity/quantity.
• Operates and troubleshoots the wireline truck and equipment; maintains operation records.
• Operates company vehicles including wireline trucks and cranes.
• Ensures compliance with regulations for wireline explosives operations.
• Cleans and maintains vehicles, tools, and equipment; troubleshoots issues.
• Supports crew in operations on/off location and coordinates with technicians.

We are currently seeking a Wireline Operator for our Gillette, WY location.

PURPOSE:

Executes operations in all aspects of open-hole and/or cased-hole logging and completion services which may include, but is not limited to, rigging up the truck at the service location, assisting with all operations both in the shop and at the wellsite. Operates and maintains the assigned wireline truck and equipment, as well as keeps records for the overall operation.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Installs / disassembles (rig up/rig down) of wireline and pressure control equipment in accordance with original equipment manufacturer’s standards including verification of applicable certifications. Assembles, secures, and disconnects equipment
• Monitors, evaluates, and adjusts process or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency. Tasks are performed in accordance with applicable safety guidelines, as well as appropriate industry standards
• Performs a combination of shipping, loading, and unloading duties. Follows all standard shipping practices and procedures with full compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including additional transportation routing and scheduling requirements. Verifies and documents identity and quantity of all equipment
• Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots wireline truck and equipment including diagnostics, as well as keeps records for the overall operation
• Drives Company vehicles and equipment: wireline trucks, cranes, pickup truck, pickup truck with trailer
• Ensures compliance with all regulations applicable to wireline explosives operations
• Cleans and maintains company vehicles, tools, & equipment; Troubleshoots tool, equipment, and truck problems; Redresses tools in the shop and in the field
• Provides support to crew members with operations on and off location and liaise with technicians on equipment failure
• Performs other duties as assigned

Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record

Demonstrated or documented ability to:

• Obtain a Notice of Clearance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives
• Read and understand safety labels and postings
