Job summary

Ranger Energy Services is seeking a Wireline Engineer II to oversee safe, compliant wireline operations at well sites and manage equipment, tools and personnel under client criteria.

Role requires a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience, a valid CDL with HazMat and ATF background checks. The candidate must be proficient in data reporting and maintaining safety and quality standards on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Geoscience from an accredited college or University preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience supervising wireline well site operations.
• Must pass comprehensive ATF background check.
• Ability to possess and maintain valid CDL with Hazardous Materials Endorsement.
• Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Working knowledge of Warrior operating system.
• Ability to read, write and speak and understand English.
• Intimate knowledge of wireline technologies including pressure control, perforating components, data acquisition systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Knowledgeable in incident investigation and reporting.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare well site operations ensuring safety compliance.
• Supervise and conduct well site operations per client criteria.
• Supervise calibration and preparation of surface equipment and down hole tools.
• Maintain current standards and procedures to optimize efficiency.
• Build customer relationships through quality service and confident execution.
• Communicate with client representatives for operations, preparation, execution and data archiving.
• Provide detailed reporting for incidents and non-productive time.
• Submit documents for billing and data delivery per customer requirements.
• Operate company vehicles per policies and regulations.
• Supervise logistics of equipment and DOT compliant logs.
• Participate in HSE and Quality initiatives.
• Train crew and conduct performance reviews.

Wireline Engineer II

SUMMARY

The Wireline Engineer II is responsible for the safety and quality of operations by applying and adhering to process and safety procedures for the wireline equipment, tools and personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Planning and preparation for well site operations ensuring compliance with all safety regulations
• Supervise and conduct well site operations in accordance with client criteria and policies
• Supervise and assist crew with calibration and preparation of surface equipment and down hole tools
• Maintain knowledge and understanding of current standards and operating procedures and practices to optimize efficiencies
• Responsible for maintaining customer relationships through quality services, confident execution and establishing positive image
• Responsible for direct communication with client representatives for wellsite operations including preparation, execution and data archiving
• Responsible for providing detailed information for all reporting, including but not limited to incidents and non-productive time
• Complete and submit accurate documents for well site operations for billing and data delivery per customer requirements
• Operate company vehicles in accordance with Company policies and government regulations
• Responsible to supervise logistics of equipment to ensure safe compliant driving habits and applicable regulations inclusive of accurate DOT logs
• Actively participate and support continuous improvement of HSE and Quality initiatives
• Responsible for assigned crew training competency and periodic performance reviews
• Perform other related or site specific duties as required

REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Geoscience from an accredited college or University Preferred
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience supervising wireline well site operations
• Must be able to pass comprehensive ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms) background check
• Ability to possess and maintain valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazardous Material Endorsement
• Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Working knowledge of Warrior operating system
• Ability to read, write and speak and understand English
