Job summary

E-Space in Arlington, TX is seeking a Wireless Test Engineer to validate next‑generation 4G/5G systems for our space-ground infrastructure. You will own the test environment and strategy, developing automated suites and analyzing logs to ensure high‑reliability deployments.

The role requires 5+ years in wireless test, expertise in 3GPP Stack/PHY, and strong Python (C a plus). You will work with SW/FW/RF teams and use leading test tools such as Amarisoft, Viavi, and Spirent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Communications, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on test engineering experience in wireless technology.
• Experience testing 3GPP Stack and PHY systems, LTE and preferably 5G NR.
• Proficiency in Python scripting, with familiarity in C.
• Practical experience with wireless test tools such as Amarisoft, Viavi, Propsim, Spirent, Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz.
• Experience with Jira and structured test processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain the scripting and automation environment around wireless test setups (lab and HIL).
• Derive, design, and implement test cases for 3GPP Stack and PHY-level features (LTE and preferably 5G NR).
• Develop Python (and/or equivalent) scripts to automate test execution, log collection, and result analysis; contribute light C code where needed.
• Perform software regression testing to validate new features, bug fixes, and releases.
• Analyze test logs and pcap files to perform detailed failure analysis, identify root causes, and provide clear remediation recommendations.
• Use wireless measurement and channel emulation equipment to execute and debug test scenarios.
• Track defects and issues using Jira, driving them through the full lifecycle with clear, reproducible descriptions.
• Prepare and deliver concise test reports, maintain test repositories, and contribute to continuous improvement of test coverage and quality processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure testability is designed into new features.
