The City of Torrance is recruiting for a Wireless Technician to be part of the Communications and Information Technology Team!The City of Torrance is seeking a self-motivated, detailed oriented professional to perform skilled work in the installation, maintenance and repair of mobile and stationary radios, public safety lights and sirens, voice intercoms and recording systems, and other electronic communications equipment. The Wireless Technician works closely with vendors, contractors and other departments to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner and maintains records and files of repair work and inventory. In addition, Wireless Technicians have the opportunity to participate in the design and fabrication of special electronic apparatuses.

NOTE: There is a 5% premium for possession of a FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License.
