Job summary

VT Group (VTG) in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Standards Engineer to support technical standards development efforts. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of wireless and packet data networks and hands-on experience with industry standards organizations to shape technical contributions on behalf of the program.

The role requires US citizenship with a Top Secret clearance and a BA/BS or eight years of relevant experience, plus familiarity with ETSI, 3GPP, IEEE and ATIS.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen with a Top Secret clearance.
• Deep technical knowledge of wireless and packet data networks (GPRS, HSPA, UMTS, LTE, CDMA2000, IMS, IP, SIP, RTP).
• Experience contributing within industry standards organizations such as ETSI, 3GPP, 3GPP2, IEEE, ATIS, CSF.

Responsibilities

• Develop and attend domestic and international standards-based meetings, including carrier-specific meetings
• Participate in conference calls to provide technical expertise and recommendations
• Support the development and submission of technical contributions for the program
