Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. in San Diego seeks a System Integration & Test (SI&T) Engineer to build end-to-end prototype systems for 6G/5G NR Sub6 & mmW, applying AI/ML techniques.

You will work with world-class teams to test and evaluate prototypes, define objectives, and drive testing in a lab environment. The role requires strong interest in new technologies, excellent communication, and willingness to travel for tradeshows and demos.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of 5G NR PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, RRC protocols.
• Knowledge of OFDMA, Wi-Fi and LTE.
• Good understanding of Digital and Wireless communication systems.
• Experience with test equipment such as Channel emulators, Spectrum analyzers and Signal generators.
• Programming skills in Python/MATLAB.
• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts (Deep learning, LLM transformer architecture) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define test objectives, write test plans, execute tests, troubleshoot, and perform post-processing analysis.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, software/hardware developers, and RF engineers to test end-to-end prototypes.
• Travel for tradeshows and demos may be required.
