Job summary

ThinkTek LLC is seeking a Wireless Network Engineer to support a Department of War client in the National Capital Region. This role focuses on Aruba-based wireless infrastructure, lifecycle replacements, configurations, and coordination with installation teams.

Candidates should have an active Secret clearance and 3–5 years of enterprise wireless experience (Aruba or Cisco), strong routing/switching fundamentals, and the ability to produce clear technical documentation.

Qualifications

Active Secret clearance.
3–5 years of network engineering experience with enterprise wireless.
Experience with Aruba, Cisco, or comparable wireless platforms.
Strong routing and switching fundamentals (VLANs, trunking, STP, subnetting).
Ability to produce clear technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Support Aruba wireless infrastructure, including mobility controllers and AirWave.
Assist access point lifecycle replacement: staging, config, integration, cutover, validation.
Coordinate with installation crews and verify results.
Support change management and authorized service interruption planning.
Troubleshoot wireless faults under senior engineer direction.
Assist with ClearPass configuration and 802.1X authentication activities.
Support cybersecurity compliance, including STIGs and hardening.
Produce configuration standards, network diagrams, and as-built records.
