Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a technically skilled engineer in the United States (Maryland) to design, implement, simulate, and analyze network protocol models for wireless mesh networks. You will develop cutting-edge routing and transport protocols, build NS-3 models, collaborate with firmware and product teams, publish findings, and contribute to hardware-aware design and experiments.

This role requires a strong background in C++ and Python, experience with embedded systems, and eligibility for U.S.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in CS or CE with at least 1 year of networking or wireless mesh experience.
• Strong C++ and Python programming skills.
• Experience in Embedded Systems and Network Architecture.
• Developing routing solutions for wireless mesh networks using NS-3.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, simulate, and analyze network protocol models.
• Develop routing and transport protocols for mesh networks.
• Build models and run NS-3 simulations to evaluate performance.
• Collaborate with firmware and product teams to validate concepts.
• Prepare design specifications and experimental analysis reports.
• Publish results at peer-reviewed venues and contribute to papers.
• Provide expert protocol know-how training and support.
