Job summary

goTenna Inc in the United States is seeking a Network Scientist to work with our CTO, Scientific Advisor, and Product & Engineering teams to extend the Aspen Grove mesh networking protocol stack. You will architect, design, simulate, and help implement networking protocols, producing specifications and experimental analyses of performance.

The ideal candidate should have an advanced degree and at least 1 year in Networking, with strong C++/Python skills, embedded systems experience, and NS-3

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in Computer Networking, Wireless Mesh Networking and Network Communications.
• Extensive knowledge of C++ and Python programming languages.
• Experience in Embedded Systems and Network Architecture.
• NS-3 simulation experience for routing in mesh networks.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, simulate, and analyze network protocol models.
• Develop cutting-edge medium access, routing, and transport protocols for mesh networking.
• Construct models and run simulations in NS-3 to evaluate performance.
• Produce design specifications and experimental analysis reports.
• Collaborate with firmware to support implementation in hardware.
• Work with product teams to assess feasibility of new features.
• Publish findings at peer-reviewed venues and contribute to white papers.
