Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a wireless network professional to optimize coverage, troubleshoot interference, and analyze spectrum. You will design and document wireless networks for enterprise environments and support Cisco routers, switches, and APs in a large-scale setting.

The role requires hands-on experience with site surveys, Ekahau, and Cisco Insider, and a commitment to inclusive hiring practices and professional collaboration within IT teams in Bethesda, MD.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of wireless network administration experience including extensive site surveys.
• Experience using Ekahau, Cisco Insider, wireless survey tools.
• Ability to document wireless designs and reporting for enterprise environments.

Job Description

Strong knowledge of wireless networking, including coverage optimization, interference troubleshooting, signal propagation, spectrum analysis, and wireless surveys.Solid understanding of network protocols and switching, including TCP/IP, FTP/HTTP(S), UDP, STP, and VPNs, with the ability to perform root cause analysis.Experience troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and UPS systems.Skilled in configuring and supporting Cisco switches, routers, NICs, and LAN connectivity using command-line tools.Able to create and interpret network diagrams, network topologies, and wireless design/reporting documentation.

Skills and Requirements

Minimum three (3) years of wireless network administration experience including performing extensive site surveys, creating and reviewing wireless designs, managing wireless projects in an enterprise environment

Experience using Ekahau, Cisco Insider, wireless survey tools
