Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Technology Consultant 2 in the United States with a focus on mobile testing across Android and iOS platforms. The role involves contributing to requirements, guiding design discussions, and coordinating feature validation to ensure software quality.

You will participate in coding activities, perform tests, analyze results, and help resolve production issues while maintaining detailed documentation and knowledge sharing.

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

Required Skill And Experience

• Experience in Android and iOS mobile device testing.
• Strong experience testing smartphones and tablets across multiple OEMs, software versions, and device-specific customizations.
• Advanced experience in device configuration, including Access Point Name settings, band locking, Non-Volatile changes, software management, and application installation.
• Hands-on expertise in flashing firmware, custom ROMs, and test builds using Odin, Fastboot, iTunes, or related tools.
• Experience preparing, reviewing, and executing test plans, test cases, regression suites, and feature validation activities.
• Strong ability to investigate application responsiveness, user interface lag, freezes, crashes, signal issues, data speed, latency, battery drain, and thermal issues.
• Proficiency in collecting and analyzing device logs, modem logs, and network traces.
• Experience creating comprehensive defect reports and managing defects through validation and closure.

Preferred Skill And Experience

• Experience with automated mobile device testing and automation frameworks such as Appium.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex device, software, and network-related issues.
• Experience reviewing test cases, test results, defects, and execution reports.
• Ability to coordinate testing activities and provide technical guidance to less-experienced testers.
• Strong stakeholder communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
