Job summary

Infosys Limited in Johnston, RI, is seeking a Technology Consultant 2 to design and implement CI/CD pipelines for Android and iOS apps. You will automate builds, tests, signing, and releases, and manage build infrastructure and distribution to internal testers and public stores.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in DevOps/Release Engineering, with a focus on mobile platforms.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitrise, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Android build tooling: Gradle, Android build variants/flavors, and Gradle plugin development.
• Experience with iOS build tooling: Xcode build settings, Fastlane, and provisioning/signing workflows.
• Strong experience with Fastlane for automating build, test, and deployment workflows across platforms.
• Experience managing app store deployments via Google Play Console and App Store Connect (including API-based automation).
• Scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, Groovy, or Ruby for pipeline automation.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and branching/release strategies (Git Flow, trunk-based development).
• Understanding of code signing, certificates, and secrets management for mobile platforms.
• Experience integrating automated testing frameworks into CI pipelines (JUnit, Espresso, XCTest, etc.).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) for build environment consistency
• Experience with artifact repositories (Nexus, Artifactory) and dependency management
• Knowledge of monitoring/alerting tools for build pipeline health (Slack integrations, email/webhook alerts)
• Understanding of mobile app security practices (code obfuscation, secrets handling, secure storage)

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Android and iOS applications.
• Automate build, test, code signing, and release processes for mobile apps.
• Manage and optimize build infrastructure (self-hosted or cloud-based runners/agents).
• Set up and maintain automated testing integration (unit, UI, instrumentation tests) within pipelines.
• Manage app signing, provisioning profiles, certificates, and secrets securely.
• Automate versioning, changelog generation, and release notes as part of the release pipeline.
• Manage and automate deployments to internal distribution tools (Firebase App Distribution, TestFlight) and public stores (Google Play Console, App Store Connect).
• Monitor build/release pipeline health and troubleshoot failures quickly to minimize developer downtime.
• Implement and maintain static code analysis, lint checks, and code quality gates in the pipeline.
• Collaborate with mobile developers to optimize build times and reduce pipeline bottlenecks.
• Set up crash reporting, performance monitoring, and alerting integrations (Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry, etc.).
• Manage feature flagging and phased/staged rollout configurations.
• Maintain documentation for build, release, and deployment processes.
• Ensure compliance with app store policies and manage submission/review processes.
• Drive continuous improvement in release velocity, pipeline reliability, and developer experience.

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects
