Description

We are seeking a self‑motivated Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain next‑generation personal connectivity solutions that power seamless experiences across Apple’s product ecosystem. In this role, you will architect and scale core wireless protocols, driving deep technical contributions across the full Bluetooth stack—from HCI and L2CAP to OS‑level frameworks. Your focus will span optimizing high‑fidelity audio pipelines for AirPods, Beats, and hearing devices (LE Audio, A2DP, HFP), building robust automotive connectivity with OEM partners, and engineering ultra‑low‑latency links for Apple Pencil and unannounced hardware. Partnering closely with hardware, firmware, and quality teams, you will tackle complex system challenges in power efficiency, link reliability, and Wi‑Fi coexistence to deliver polished, world‑class wireless experiences.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Strong C++, C, or Objective-C software skills
• Hands‑on experience integrating AI coding agents into daily engineering workflows, spanning design, development, and debugging

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with wireless communication systems (especially Bluetooth) is highly desirable
• Experience in building user level applications, audio, or AR/VR solutions is a plus
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code in an OS/RTOS environment
• Thrive in a collaborative environment and can clearly communicate while authoritatively driving multiple projects across many teams
• Obsessively passionate and inquisitive, and seek to pursue everyday problems in innovative ways
• Laser‑focused on the smallest details that are meaningful to our customers

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
