Job summary

Apple Inc. in California is seeking an Automation Engineer to design and develop automated test frameworks and infrastructure for validating wireless PHY and RF systems across silicon projects.

You will translate specifications into automated test strategies, collaborate with validation, AI/ML teams, and integrate tests into a CI/CD pipeline to ensure code changes do not break existing functionality. The role requires a BS with 3+ years of experience, strong Python/Shell/C/C#, and familiarity

Qualifications

• BS and a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience developing test automation, including equipment drivers, debug tools, automation scripts and interfaces.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Shell scripting, and/or C/C++/C# for test automation.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation frameworks and test infrastructure for validating wireless PHY systems.
• Translate specifications into automated test strategies and resolve complex system issues.
• Automate triage tooling and consolidate reports via emails and SharePoint.
• Collaborate with AI/ML experts to improve test methodologies for next‑gen wireless systems.
• Implement and integrate automated tests into CI/CD to prevent regressions.
• Handle multiple configurations across platforms and geographies to ensure consistency.
• Analyze execution workflows to identify bottlenecks and automation opportunities to reduce costs.
