Responsibilities
  • Interpret electrical schematics and diagrams from Team Lead / Engineering.
  • Independently wire control panels and switchboards, build circuit sub-assemblies, install and terminate cables, connectors, and devices, as well as assist in building and maintaining circuit bills of materials.
  • Perform continuity checks and basic testing with multimeters.
  • Quality Control: Ensure components and assemblies meet the required quality, environmental, and safety regulations and standards. Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with UL891 and NFPA 70E standards.
  • Work Coordination: Coordinate with other departments, such as engineering, procurement, and production planning, to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure team members are equipped with the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate processes and procedures, seeking opportunities for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. Create the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardized work and processes are followed, needed adjustments are implemented and the area is compliant with safety and 5S requirements. Be a change agent within the department driving continuous improvement & waste elimination.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production data in Epicor, work progress, and any issues or challenges encountered during fabrication operations.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers to design and refine control circuits and panel layouts.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to wiring, components, and control systems.
Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, electrical wiring or controls assembly.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Familiarity with wire gauges, ampacities, and enclosure ratings.
  • Multimeter proficiency for testing and troubleshooting.
  • Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
  • Willingness to work overtime and support team goals.
Additional Qualifications
  • UL891 production and MTR experience.
  • NFPA 70E training certification.
  • AutoCAD or equivalent schematic software proficiency.
  • ISO documentation familiarity.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience.
