Job summary

CERTEX USA, LLC in Texas is seeking a detail-oriented Wire Rope Assembler to fabricate, inspect, and assemble rope products to meet quality standards and customer specs. The role involves reading drawings, calculating cut lengths, splicing wire rope, and operating swaging and testing equipment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in the construction, equipment or oil industry preferred.
• Proficient at math and reading.
• Must be able to manage your time.
• Must be able to accurately read a tape measure or digital micrometer.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be persistent, energetic, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Review, interpret drawings and blueprints and capacity tables.
• Understand codes and specifications as outlined on order tickets.
• Calculate wire rope cut lengths, fitting requirements and identify the appropriate equipment to produce all varieties of wire or synthetic rope and chain assemblies.
• Splicing wire rope and fabricating chain slings.
• Understanding and operation of industrial swaging machines, proof testing machines, and forklifts.
• Attach proper tags and labels to products.
• Maintain Inventory Records.
• Report defective or substandard material supplies or product.
• Shipping and receiving of goods.
• Maintain work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and organized manner, and follow all Safety Guidelines.
• May be required to assist with deliveries when needed.
