Job summary

Lonestar Electric Supply is seeking a Wire Room Associate to support wire orders, packaging, stocking, loading, unloading, and maintaining the wire room's organization and safety. The ideal candidate will be dependable, prompt, and engaged, with strong reading and communication abilities and the capacity to operate wire handling equipment.

Epicor Eclipse ERP experience is preferred, along with a commitment to safe warehouse practices and providing excellent service to internal/external partners.

Qualifications

• Strong reading and communication skills are required to relay information clearly.
• Experience or familiarity with Epicor Eclipse ERP is preferred.
• Ability to operate wire and material handling equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and stock wires used in the electrical industry.
• Review orders, pull wires from spools, inspect for accuracy, and wrap for transport.
• Provide loading and unloading support as needed.
• Update databases timely and provide accurate inventory counts.
• Follow processes and safety procedures as instructed by supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Deliver outstanding service to internal and external partners and vendors.
• Communicate proactively to management about issues and concerns.
• Other tasks as assigned by leadership.

Job description

Lonestar Electric Supply and its subsidiaries are looking for a Wire Room Associate who will work with a dynamic team of individuals to perform various tasks related to fulfilling wire orders, packaging, stocking, loading, unloading, and ensuring the general organization and safety of the wire room within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will be dependable, prompt, reliable and engaged. They will also drive and promote our passion to MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and stock various wires utilized in the electrical industry.
• Review orders, pull requested wire from spools, examine for accuracy, and wrap for transport.
• Provide loading and unloading support as needed.
• Update databases timely and provide accurate inventory counts as requested.
• Follow processes and procedures as instructed by your Lead or Wire Room Supervisor.
• Help maintain a clean and organized working environment.
• Follow established safety guidelines and proper protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service to our internal and external partners, customers, logistics professionals, vendors as well as vendor partners and employees.
• Proactive communication to management regarding issues and concerns.
• Other tasks as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

• Ability to operate various types of wire and material handling equipment including wire cutters, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts as needed.
• Strong reading and communication skills.
• Epicor Eclipse ERP experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• May be required to move up to 40 lbs.
• Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in warehouse conditions that are not always climate controlled and may include, heat and humidity.
• Noise level may be loud at times.
• Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
