Job summary

Elliott Electric Supply is seeking a warehouse associate for 2nd shift (2pm-11pm) to support daily branch operations, especially spindle/wire shipments. You will ensure orders are fulfilled timely, wire cuts are made to order, and safety standards are followed.

The role requires identifying products, reading orders, basic math, and operating barcoding/inventory tools with forklift certification. Housekeeping and miscellaneous duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
• Identify product by size, type, style, color or product code.
• Read orders/match orders on shipping tickets to items picked.
• Basic math skills and reasoning skills.
• Certification of power-truck equipment.
• Operate inventory control equipment, e.g., bar-coding equipment and handheld devices.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of the Branch and fulfill orders that require shipment of spools and/or wire in a timely manner.

2nd shift 2pm-11pm.

Supports the day to day operations of the Branch. Responsible for ensuring that all orders that require shipment of spools and/or any wire are fulfilled within a timely manner. Also responsible for ensuring that shipments of wire being sent are cut to order and adhere to safety standards. Responsible for any assigned housekeeping tasks and for carrying out any other duties assigned to them by management.

This is a safety-sensitive position, the ability to work in a constant state of awareness and in a safe manner is imperative. Candidates offered employment must undergo a pre-employment drug test. This test screens for drugs including amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamines, opiates, oxycodone, and phencyclidines, following the cutoff levels set by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

Physical Requirements:

Able to move/lift up to 70 lbs. unassisted. Able to withstand extreme temperatures in a typical warehouse environment. Position spends a large amount of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing. Position may require climbing of ladders for top-level selection Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
